MITCH KAUFMANN

Mitch Kaufmann was pretty much the driving force behind the Rattown movement. As young surfers the Rattowners smoked pot to get into that special frame of mind to go surfing and just charge as hard as possible. Listening to Bob Marley and calling themselves Rasta Rats before Rattown ever came up, Mitch, Tom Rosborough, Zack Ness and Scott Worthley were definitely the raddest surfers for their ages and led the way for everyone else to push themselves to the top.
